I am 72 years Australian lady who had upper teeth removed 20years ago. I find it difficult to keep dentures in for more than 2 hours and only with cement with goes when I eat. If I travel to Israel to visit ur surgery; approximately how much in, $AUD should I allow for 14to16 teeth to be implanted. also how much for bone graft if I have lost too much bone. I have the implant post done here in the us and have not done the crown yet.
I am going to be in Israel for the chagim and after. Would I be able to do the
the crown while I am there.
I am also considering to have another one implant.

Hi,

I will give you a sense of what needs to be done. Everything is predicated on seeing CT and assuming that you have sufficient bone to place implants

The removable option.

Place 4 implants – 1 visit 2-3 days

Return 8 weeks later for about 7 to 10 days to place the posts on top of the implants and have the denture made and then fit the denture.
total cost
4 implants = 14,400 NIS = $3891
4 posts = 7200 NIS = $1955
1 Denture = 10000 NIS =$2702

total 31600 NIS = $8539

Permanent Teeth option

6-8 implants to support 14 teeth

assuming the worst case scenario (that is 8 implants)

8 implants X4100 NIS= 32,800 NIS =$8864
8posts X1800 NIS = 14,400= $3891
14 Porcelain crowns X3950 NIS = 55,300NIS =$14944

total $27699

1 visit to place all implants trip of 1-3 days.
8 weeks later 3-4 visits over a 10 day period in order to get the final finished bridge back

Bear in mind that there is always the chance we will need a bone graft which is another 2000nis or so. Also depending on the CT we might need to have some sort of temporary made in the lab. One final point. Should you do the removable option and find that you want permanent teeth, then all of the 4 implants placed can be incorporated into the permanent option in the future.

I ONLY HAVE 5 UPPER TEETH. 2 OF THEM SUPPORT A 6 FRONT TEETH BRIDGE AND THE OTHER 3 HAVE CROWNS ON THE TOP OF THEM. THE 2 TEETH THAT SUPPORT THE BRIDGE AND 1 TOOTH FROM THE REMAINED OF THEM STARTED MOVING. THEREFORE, I ONLY HAVE BEEN LEFT WITH 2 ADJOINING GOOD UPPER TEETH. I GUESS I WILL EXTRACT ALL THESE 5 TEETH AND HAVE NO UPPER TEETH AT ALL:
HOW MANY IMPLANTS I NEED TO PLACE IN THE UPPER JAW IN ORDER:
1)TO HAVE A REMOVABLE DENTURE ON THE TOP OF THE IMPLANTS?
2)TO HAVE A PERMANENT SET OF TEETH WITH CROWNS AND BRIDGES ON THE TOP OF THE IMPLANTS?
3)CAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE THE TOTAL COST, IN USA DOLLARS, FOR EACH ONE OF THE ABOVE OPTIONS?
4)ALSO CAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE THE NUMBER OF TRIPS THAT I WILL HAVE TO MAKE TO ISRAEL, SINCE I WOULD SAY I WILL NEED BONE CRAFT AND OR SOME MONTHS FOR THE IMPLANTS TO HEAL, BEFORE APPLYING LOAD ON TOP OF THEM???

the short answer is yes. the real factor is
do you have enough bone (height and width) which we can only determine by taking a dental CT
is there an extraction involved? might there be a need for a bone graft?. These are all factors that I cant know till I see a CT.
Finally I can do the implant in one visit. if you mean though, that you want the crown on the same day, I think that is a mistake. the studies indicate a higher rate of implant failure if that is done
